Yes, they are, BUT , I did not advocate piracy. I want to be able to upgrade
my system without losing what I paid for, I don't want to have to buy a new
os for a new computer (the other is trashed), I don't want to be converted
to a renter. That is the real issue. They can control the expiration of the
software so that you are really renting, will have to buy a new os whenever
they wish.


Just wait until you get locked out at a critical time, then you will change
your tune. You CAN get locked out without doing anything illegal.
The stories on the Lockergnoem and many other technical mailing lists are
rampant about this.

Besides , this WILL be cracked, and all the time and money they spent will
be wasted.
