Also had similar problems and like Charles,  I cleaned out all my
messages and rebooted.
After doing this all was fine until I took a break.   When I came back
ran into the same problems with only 2 messages in F2 & F3.   This
time I just changed F2 message ( my call sign )  and put it on F4.
Kept running and all was FB.  This is similar to the posts I've seen
relative to calling CQ for extended periods.  Its an easy work around
so no big deal.
Next time,  change your function keys and see if it will help.  Much
faster than reboots etc.
