I used the Acom tools with Writelog during the DX contest last weekend. It was
nice to have the amplifier follow the radio without having to put out any rf.
When I grabbed a spot that contained a split frequency I noticed the amplifier
switching back and forth from the split frequency to the receive frequency.
This happened approximately every second. When the receive/transmit frequencies
were in different amplifier segments, the tune motors would go back and forth,
approximately every second. This is unnecessary wear and tear on the motors.
Is there any way to make the amplifier stay put on the split frequency? Maybe
this is unique to my station, I'm running an IC-775, and no Acom antenna
selector. I have the latest version of Writelog and Acom tools.
