[WriteLog] External sound cards

Hello,

        I have a HP Omnibook XE2 with internal sound card, Maestro 3i. When I 
run
the sound check it produces 77. This does not allow the mic to be routed
thru to the radio. I plan to take this computer down to Aruba to operate the
IARU contest in July.

My question does anybody know how to get this beast to work ?

There is a 'external' sound card by SB, which plugs into the USB port.
Anyone have any experience with this ??
