I'm new to Writelog and actually just finished my installation prior to
BARTG starting. I was able to set up the program with the help of Don's
(rttycontesting.com) website primer. What a spectacular program. I had
been using MixW, but realized quickly that it is not designed for contesting
like Writelog. The MMTTY tuning indicator is really great.
During BARTG I was able to set up files for both CQ and S&P. In all cases
everything worked great. Only once did I get a "dupe" response (worked
before) and realized that I had entered the call incorrectly when I first
worked the individual. Was able to go back and correct it.
One question on the Friends.ini file. I've installed it into the
/ham/programs directory per help files, added the %H to my memory buffer,
but the persons name is not sent (even though it is in the file). I just
get an extra space in the line being transmitted. After review of the Help
files, I am still at a loss. The Help file indicates that the Writelog.ini
should have a section titled [HI] but I don't find anything like that in it.
This is the Friends.ini file provided by K4SB. Can anyone help in this
regard?
