Hello friends!
Apologies to those not interested in RTTY contesting but
I see a need to disseminate some information for DL-DX-RTTY logs.
First of all thanks to all who participated in this first run
of a new RTTY contest. The contest organizers are overwhelmed
by the level of participation and amount of logs that already
arrived - more than 100!
Unfortunately however, quite a few logs give us problems, sometimes
severe problems for evaluation and scoring. Regardless of what software
you are using, please make sure to observe these points:
1) Do not forget YOUR CALLSIGN, label logs as call.log, call.all,
call.sum, call.txt etc.
2) Give us your full address - we need it for the certificate you
might win.
3) Please, please specify the CATEGORY of your participation:
- A single op, more than 6 hours, "big" antennas,
(A HIGH/LOW RTTY for Cabrillo)
- B single op, operating time NOT exceeding 6 hours, breaks
greater 60 minutes, "big" antennas,
(B HIGH/LOW RTTY for Cabrillo)
- C single op, more than 6 hours, only dipole/groundplane antennas,
(C HIGH/LOW RTTY for Cabrillo)
- D single op, operating time not exceeding 6 hours, breaks
greater than 60 minutes, only dipole/groundplane antennas,
(D HIGH/LOW RTTY for Cabrillo)
- E multi op. (E HIGH/LOW RTTY for Cabrillo).
By all means indicate your category at least somewhere in the log!
WE cannot guess if a SINGLE OP ALL HIGH RTTY Cabrillo log is meant
for cat. A or B or whatever.
4) Include RST-sent and RST-recvd in your logs.
5) If your logging soft uses frequency please set it to full kHz ONLY.
6) Please do NOT send ADIF files! Writelogs new DL-DX-RTTY module by
DL1EFD has Cabrillo capability (CATEGORY needs adjusting).
Thanks again and let's have more of your logs.
73 de Goetz, DJ3IW, for the contest organizers.
