Tom,

We struggled some getting a 5 station operation running for FD
last year, using a mixed bag of laptops and operating systems.

Beyond the obvious security screens you have to work through on
each OS, we found that the link was easy once we duplicated the
primary computer's setup in the subs.  

Can you provide access to both computers in a microsoft 
application?  That might help you diagnose file sharing issues,
and follow that with grooming writelog, once you know the
'puters talk to each other.
