Scaling Writelog down would be a major effort, but
On a lark, I did do exactly as you want:
Pocket PC 2002 (Toshiba E740)
-PocketDOS DOS Emulator (www.pocketDOS.com)
CT (now free)
Socket CF Serial Port (for Radio Control & Keying)
(You may already have serial port)
Mini USB Keyboard (for easy typing)
It works great!

Subject: [WriteLog] WriteLog for PocketPC or PDA?
Has anyone thought of scaling down WriteLog for use on a PocketPC or PDA?
This could be absolutely incredible if no rig control, but only contesting
logging, dupe checking & cw keying is needed.
No hauling around a computer for FD...just stick the PPC or PDA on top of
the transceiver & use xkeys or other macro devices to trigger F key
functions. All you need to see is the QSO window.
Mega-Portable. Efficient.
