I am using a Targus with my laptop. It is actually advertised as a docking
station that is just a standalone box. It gives me enough extra serial,
parallel
and USB ports to hook up all my toys. I control the radio from one serial
port and the CW keying line with another.
Basically, it works fine, except often the CW generated by the computer turns
to pure trash. I have turned off every startup program I could and have not
gotten to the bottom of the problem. I am not going to invest a fortune in a WL
or W9XT external keyer because I only use the laptop for the "guest"
operating position.
