[WriteLog] automatic enter character

Is there a character or command that can be put into a message port (function 
key) that will cause the entry in the call window to be entered into the log 
without hitting the enter key? Example:  I program a function key to say "%C TU 
(then the call his entered into the log automatically) QRZ DE WA3IIA"
