[WriteLog] Write log keying mystery

The last weekend was a bumpy ride.

Started out great on  FRI nite and SAT AM.  Then we lost power around
noontime SAT and finally csme bsck Sun AM.  Data in log looks fine but my
LPT keyingtook a hit. All F keys produce s constssnt keyed rig.  Changin the
data file gives normal operation.  Ports and config seem PL.
