Hi, Braco.

I had the exact same problem using my WinKey before the contest. The first
character of a message would be sent at 15wpm and then jump to 30wpm like it
should.

It helped a little when I set the CW Keying to PTT Rig on COM port.

The first character would be just a little fast and then go down slightly to
30wpm. Not great but not nearly as noticable.

WL is a royal pain when it comes to CW.

during WPX CW i had some problems with WL and microham microkeyer
i was using for CW msg winkey and everything propertly configurated in WL
but CW speed was all the time changeing alone
i was set 35 WPM and after one or 2 cq i was on 32 or on 28WPM down
also find out that getting faster for cq (<<<test>>> callsign callsign
<<<test>>>)
was all the time not faster on test, sometime also sending callsign......

any ideas?

using AMD sempron 2300+ 512 MB
