If you were to use two computers, side by side and fed with the same
audio, one running the "stock" WriteLog and the other MMTTY, you
would soon see the answer to your question. MMTTY copies crummy
signals much better.
In fact, if you make similar comparisons between different software
programs, TNCs and what have you, you will be surprised how much
better some copy than others. My personal all time favorite for
pulling them out of the mud is RITTY by K6STI. I have just ordered a
HAL ST-8000 which may prove to be even better. I'm looking forward to
making the comparison.
