Phil,

The new tags "APP_WRITELOG_*" just mean that WL has
been updated to properly tag the WL specific fields in
the ADIF file. According to the ADIF specs, any
application is allowed to use such application
specific tags. See the ADIF spec here:
http://www.adif.org/adif217.htm

Using application specific tags was included in the
ADIF specification for the express purpose of allowing
programs to include tagged fields that are not
otherwise defined in ADIF.

As the ADIF spec has matured, additional fields have
been added, eliminating the need for many of the
common application specific tags. Some older programs
may not have been updated to account for these
changes.

What all this techno-babbke really means is that all
ADIF programs will ignore the APP_* fields that they
do not understand and thereofore you should not have
to manually remove the APP_WRITELOG_* fields or do any
other sorting or editting.
