Over the past few months problems have developed with my writelog/mmtty
program combination that have now prevented me from using it. Much as I have
tried I can not find the cause nor the cure.

I am using Writelog 10.54C with the MMTTY module version 1.65D

I am having two problems, the first being that I am getting an increasing
frequency of "OVERLOAD" messages on the mmtty display screen. I seem to have
been able to cure this problem somewhat by backing down the mike input level
on the sound card but have not been able to eliminate them altogether

The other more serious problem is that when I use the mmtty display to tune
in an rtty signal, as soon as I transmit the trace disappears off the bottom
of the screen and takes 30 to 60 seconds for it to gradually come back up on
the screen so that it can be used to tune in a signal. Some times, if I hit
the transmit button for a second it will pop right back up again but not
very often. As you can appreciate, this type of operation is unacceptable
and makes the program useless.

I tried to use the program again last weekend for the CQ WW RTTY contest but
after two contacts I had to stop.

I then moved to the stand alone MMTTY program that I also have on the
computer and it worked perfectly for the remainder of the contest - ie no
"overflow" messages and the display trace was totally steady as you would
expect.

Any thoughts as to what might be the problem with the writelog/mmtty
combination would be very much appreciated. I really like this program and
would hate to have to give it up'

Thanks
