I bought a startech cb2s650 pcmcia com ports card that uses 16c950 uarts,
would 16550 be better??.And has TWO DB9 connectors.
I only have one com port on the laptop and this pcmcia card assigns com
5 and com6 via
the pcmcia installation.
I can control the radio via com1 but not via com5
I have BOTH com ports set the same in writelog but commslot3=5
the ports setup showes com 5 in the window and I assign it the
radio as well as com 1.
SO swapping between COM 1 and COM 5 back and forth..
COM 1 will communicate with the radio..brake out box showes good levals..
but when swapping over to COM 5 it will not communicate.
Any ideas... before I call support Monday.
I want COM 1 for the radio and COM 5 for MMTTY FSK.
Untill I get the radio to work on BOTH ports no sense in trying to get
MMTTY to talk through COM 5.
