Let's just do a little math.

In my circle of contesting friends, about 50% are using WriteLog. Now that
seems a little bit high percentage for a "national average", so let's
assume a percentage of half that, or 25%. And let's further assume that
only half those users are connected to a cluster, or 12.5%. .

So how many spam-spots would 12.5% of this weekends contesters have
generated?

Looking at the 3830 scores so far, the highest number of QSO's worked was
1454 by W6YI. Presuming he worked every station available all weekend,
multiplying 1454 by .125 comes out to 182 stations as the potential
universe of spam-spotters.

If these stations worked an average of 300 Q's they'd spam-spot 54,600
spots over the 30-hour contest, or about one every 2 seconds on average.
This in addition to all the spots generated by the remaining 75% of us who
wouldn't be equipped to spam-spot.

Bad idea!

YMMV.
