[WriteLog] Writelog - puter crash on using <ESC>

Using XP and latest version of Writelog. Old dedicated puter failed. 
Moved to XP machine.

If I click <ESC> or use Alt-K (type ahead buffer) the computer 
shortly after becomes confused and crashes. 

With this little info (sorry), has anyone seen my problem or similar?
