There is a FT-2000 firmware update that allows RTTY monitor in back ground.
It is version 133. There is also a DSP update 1029.
Until you update the FT-2000 you will not be able to hear RTTY in the
back ground.
NOTE: While this update gives you RTTY MONI IT IS AT A LOW BACKGROUND LEVEL
BUT USABLE. The update also gives another resolution to the tuning dial.
The update also allows you to SEE/DISPLAY what version firmware is
installed.
