[WriteLog] Help connecting to FT1K Mk5 MP

Hi All,

Ok, I purchased a USB to Serial cable, installed the driver on the laptop, 
connected to the CAT output on the Mk5 and using the "ports" under 'setup' in 
WL, assigned Port 3 to  "FT1KMP" and...

nothing - it is as if the radio is not sending any updates to the computer...  
Can any of you smart guys help a NON Computer guy out here?
