NONE of the NT based version of Windows (Windows NT4, Windows 2000, 
Windows XP and Vista) support LPT output without either DirectIO or 
User Port.  NT based Windows does not allow the application to do 
direct writes to either serial or parallel ports - DirectIO and 
UserPort are "Ring 0" or kernel level drivers that provide that 
access.
