Well this is my first RTTY contest and I have found out that using a
vertical and 100 watts does not get you very many contacts, the big guns
walk all over you and more power to them they have spent the money and
time to put up great antennas so go for it, it is just hard to compete
with them. I do want to thank everyone that helped me get set up so I
could at least see what I could do with my station and I did have some
fun. There was one little problem I seen and I guess it was band
conditions and it was.... I was on a freq and seeing a station calling
CQ DL over and over and over and over and not getting any replaies or
calls I was seeing other stations calling so I tried to make a contact
with them but I could not because the other station keep calling CQ DL
over and over and over and over hihi. Now all that said is there some
kind of of gentle mens rules or contest rules that govern the operating
procedures on contesting or is it just dog eat dog ? Well I will
probably be black balled as a trouble maker for all these statements and
questions I just didn't realize that contesting could be not so much fun.

PS: I have not gave up yet.
