Thanks for the feedback.  My computer is running XP.

I saw the byterunner unit on the web.  I have had excellent service from
that company in the past and will likely try that solution.

but are these cards supported by vista?
I believe that a new laptop is running vista, isn't it?
I have a mp3+ card and i would like to plug this in my new laptop. I
didn't search for drivers but i believe that it would be difficult to
find the right one...
