Vince,

There 3 things that need to be set for RTTY to work correctly. The first is
before you start the RTTY Window (Window, RTTY Window). Click Setup menu,
Ports, and you'll have 4 slots, if you haven't changed them they'll be
numbered 1-4. Read the slots ACROSS, left to right, NOT DOWN. Choose the
slot ACROSS that corresponds to your port number that you have your Rig
plugged into. IE: Choose Port 1, Do NOT select either of the DOTs or tick
marks on that line, the ONLY thing to change is the rig name/model in the
drop down box. Select your model rig.

Next is PTT. At the very bottom of the dialog box is a check box that says
"All Mode PTT on CW RTS". Click that on.

In the CW column, select which port you have configured in your tigertronics
for PTT. My computer has 3 ports in it, 1, 2, and 3. In slot 1, com1, I
have my rig selected. My PTT is a MFJ 1275, it is connected to Port 2, so I
have the dot clicked on in the CW column next to com2. That takes care of
rig control and PTT.

Now, for FSK, mine is configured with a simple transistor/resister circuit
that I built. Its physically connected to Com3. So click Window men, RTTY.
This will start RTTYrite. Under the ports in RTTYrite, select the com port
that you've connected to your FSK input on your rig. Mine is com3.

That's basically it. You're now set for FSK keying of MMTTY under RTTYRite
in Writelog.
