I am surprised not to have received any help re the problem described
below, first reported here 11/1 and then again on 11/3. I cannot be the
first person to report this problem with "OLE animation
objects"---whatever the h--l they are.

I am now finding that the problem appears even after I reinstall 10.73d.

Given that reality, I overwrote 10.73d with the prior version in use
here, 10.69d and the problem does not appear to show up--at least it has
not so far.

So I must conclude there is something wrong with 10.73d or with its
interaction with my registry or with XP Pro.

I sent this on Sunday and have received no responses. I would appreciate
some help.

Ever since I installed update version 10.73d, opening WL to start a new
contest log brings up the following after selection of the contest

  * Can't create packet OLE animation object
  * Can't create bandmap OLE animation object

Then, if the packet window is invoked, there again appears

  * Can't create packet OLE animation object

If 10.73d is reinstalled, this does not happen---until the next contest
is set up.

What is going on here and how do I fix it?

I'm preparing for SS and it would be good to be rid of this nuisance.

Garry, NI6T

I did receive a reply re this one.

Also, when I close WL, the packet window refuses to go away! I am sure this is
a related issue.

Garry
