It should be noted that INPOUT32.dll is a potential solution to the LPT
problem for Writelog. In order to use INPOUT32.dll WrietLog would need a few
code changes. I mentioned this to the WriteLog owner, years ago. The
response was security worries prevent these code changes.
When I upgraded to an Intel Motherboard PC, DirectIO no longer worked on XP.
I stumbled upon PortTalk.
PortTalk is free. I wrote 2 Reflector posts on how to use this tool.

I do not know if it works on 64 bit systems, but it is simple to try.
I use a PCI and a PCI Express-X1 LPT expansion card since my motherboard has
no built-in LPT.

In N1MM, I got a driver called INPOUT32.dll to work. Has anyone tried
that one in Writelog? It seems like what I had to do was rename it to the
normal .dll that works for the LPT in previous Windows Versions. Then I
had
to tweak the LPT address ranges some.
By the way, the reason I am being so persistent about this is that I REALLY
like my DX Doubler and hate to give it up even though I know there are
some great USB solutions out there now.
