BTW I did RTFM. On page 145, middle of first column subcommand 050077 says
Send/read quick RIT/TX clear function (0=off, 1=on)
The manual was the first thing I checked before sending out the query. I
have not tried it yet, but in Ham Radio Deluxe there is a function on one of
the menus that allow you send commands to the radio to test the civ. I
guess I need to try the command and see if it works.

Did you RTFM to see if the command exists?
Prior posts all point to NO for Icom Clear RIT being a command.
