Nope. The problem is all contests each have their own variations in bands
of operation, exchange reports, what you need to send and what you need to
receive, mults, if any, scoring, etc. WriteLog uses contest specific
modules that have been created to handle all these variables. There are a
great variety of modules available, so you can probably find one for any
specific contests you are interested in working. But, only one contest
module at a time can be active.
It can be done, but it takes a lot more than one mouse click. The key is to
preplan what contests you want to work and prepare the various modules you
will use prior to the contests start. You will need to create and maintain
separate logs for each contest. To do this you will need to setup different
folders to hold the contest specific modules and associated data. For
example, this past weekend you may have needed to create folders for BARTG,
RU DX, OK QP, ND QP and VA QP. Then, using 5 different contest specific
contest modules, setup each contest before hand. This would include the all
contest parameters, all your message macros for each contest, the Super
Check Partial file to use, etc. Name a contest log and save the empty log
into its proper folder location. Then start a new contest using a different
contest module. Do the same for each contest you plan to operate.
When the weekend arrives and you start your fun load the first contest
specific log you previously setup. After running for a while, save and quit
this contest. Then start up the second presaved contest log and operate in
that one. When done save the log and quit again. Do this for each contest
you want to run. The most confusing thing will be memory message buffer
management. Each contest should have its own presaved format and you will
need to have F key templates made up for each contest to remind you what are
the contents of all those memory buffers. It's even worse for SSB contests
as you must have different voice wav file locations saved with the contest
specific wav files you want to use. WriteLog uses the file name <msgn.wav>
for all the voice messages so each SSB contest must also have a unique
folder location for each contest specific wav files. It can get quite
confusing and certainly cannot be done with a single mouse click. It is
doable, but you will have to work at it until you get comfortable with the
routine.
