I've recently installed a parallel PCI card into my computer to control a
band decoder via LPT1 port.  So far I've been unsuccessful in controlling
the port.  Some system details:
Computer: Dell Dimension 9100
OS: Windows XP Home Edition
Writelog: V11.07D
PCI parallel card: I/O Future Dual Parallel PCI Card PP210

The ports (the card has two) showed up as LPT1 and LPT2.  After installing
the drivers included on the installation disk that came with the PCI card,
the device manager says the devices are working properly.  Under the
resources tab, the settings for the ports are:

PCI ECP Parallel Port (LPT1)
I/O Range: CC00 - CC07
I/O Range: CC08 - CC0F
Memory: EFBFD000 - EFBFDFFF
Memory: EFBFE000 - EFBFEFFF

PCI ECP Parallel Port (LPT2)
I/O Range: C8F0 - C8F7
I/O Range: C8F8 - C8FF
Memory Range: EFBFB000 - EFBFBFFF
Memory Range: EFBFC000 - EFBFCFFF

I installed Direct I/O and entered:
Active Ports: CC00 - CC0F (hex)
Security: Path to WL executable

In the writelog.ini file I have entered:
[Ports]
LPT1=0xcc00
LPT2=0xc8f0

Still, when I open up WL and go to the Ports->Antenna Relays, the options
for LPT are grayed out.  Is there something else I am missing?

BTW, I also sometimes use a W5XD keyer which has its own LPT outputs for
antenna relays.  When connecting the band decoder to the W5XD keyer, the
band decoder works properly.  So I know the problem is not with the band
decoder, but has something to do with controlling these new LPT ports on
the PCI card.

Grant K1KD
