Don,

Mouse_Wheel=10Hz is the default ... it behaves that way if there is
no Mouse_Wheel directive.

With the K3 the Mouse wheel will move VFO A (receiver) and leave
the K3 in split if split is engaged.

I suspect you are seeing the effect of setting IcomForceSplit=2 in
Writelog.ini From the Writelog Manual [RIGS] section:

Setting this option to 2 causes WriteLog to do the same as setting 1,
but, in addition you tune the rig from its front panel more than
500Hz after WriteLog has set it to split, then WriteLog automatically
 turns the split off.

I am wondering if this is a radio-specific problem since a K3 owner replied

know but I'll check it with my Kenwood radio when I get home tonight.

Gary, what kind of radio will you be using? Check it to see if it behaves as
stated. When the radio is in SPLIT, moving the scroll wheel takes the radio out
of split. Here's the kicker. This is happening on a fairly new installation of
WriteLog and I did not have any MOUSE_WHEEL_HZ in the Configuration section of
WriteLog yet. I would have thought that the scroll wheel would not have worked
at all in WriteLog but it did. It changed the VFO.

Don,

Thank you for finding this problem so I can avoid it right from the start
and not have to panic about what the &*$% now!

Thanks for the suggestions Dan, Jay and Gary.

MOUSE_WHEEL_HZ=0 works.

It would be nice to use the mouse wheel while split, but not necessary.

Operating W1AW/5 from Louisiana tonight and everytime I hit the scroll wheel
on my mouse, it takes my Icom IC-756 PRO III out of
SPLIT. It's killing me!

Anyway to disable the mouse scroll wheel from doing this?

Thanks!
