This issue of unrecognized countries and incorrect multiplier counts is
irrelevant to the contest sponsor. Other than the (optional) claimed score
in the Cabrillo header, there is no multiplier or score data in the Cabrillo
file. Even the claimed score is ignored and the Raw Scores webpage is
constructed by running the logs through the log checking software with no
error checking. That software is fully up-to-date on the calls and mults
used in the contest.

The only benefit to the logger correctly handling calls and mults is for
more accurate data for the operator during and after the contest. It is
handy to know what mults you've worked and need.

Furthermore, even with a lower claimed score due to the logger missing a few
mults, the final log-checked score will most likely be even lower. There is
typically a much higher score reduction for NILs, busted calls and busted
exchanges than there is for any small increase due to a few additional
mults.

AD1C does an excellent job keeping the country files, e.g., cty.dat, updated
just prior to major contests. Still, a contest expedition from an ambiguous
mult, like the French TO call signs, can take place without Jim being
informed and getting it into cty.dat in time. In those cases, it is easy
enough to edit the simple text file cty.dat with any missing prefixes and
unique call signs.

I had the same issue but I just sent in my log without the multipliers
added to the score. Probably the best thing to do is to update the country
files using the data that AD1C maintains. http://www.country-files.com.
This should at least recognize TO2A and TO8M, Certainly Rich, TO2A will be
on in future contests.

can't remember how to do this. these aren't in the cty file and must be
added.

used to be a way to do it on the fly by entering TO2R=FY or something like
that.
