John,

Rich is correct, you can hold the Shift key down and then click on the first character of the letters that printed instead of numbers. I did this several times in the WPX RTTY - very handy and much quicker than sending NR NR in hopes of getting a repeat that prints correctly. The only problem is if the string of letters you want to convert to numbers has extras garbage characters that printed at the end. Without a space at the end of what you do want you are likely to get an unrealistic entry into the NR field.

I believe that your can hold the SHIFT key then click on the serial
number (letters in this case) and they are converted to the correct
numbers. Unless I misunderstood your question in the first place.

It would be nice if Writelog would let you enter THE QWERTYUIOP letters
into the number field in the WPX RTTY contest. There are times when the
figures shift character does not come through and I had to manually
convert letters to numbers.
