Hi Don

I have now got it working but only by disabling the WL version of DAX and
using the Flex DAX instead, the guide does state you can do this (last
sentence below). I'm guessing there is something maybe in the Demo version
that needs looking at or could be related to using this with the driver. I
have a video of before turning it off and after I can upload and send if
you want to see what was happening.

I had to turn off the audio streams and basically untick everything and
just use the Flex Dax control window that is used alongside SmartSDR. This
was what I was using with other loggers anyway.

"The WriteLog Flex Rig driver has a DAX Audio replacement built in. You may
use it along with the existing DAX Control Panel *for audio streams* as
long as you *do not* use Flex Dax Control Panel on DAX channels 1 through 4
(i.e. the top 4 entries in its Audio Streams page, nor the TX Audio nor Mic
Stream.) Or, you may use the Flex DAX control panel as long as you leave
WriteLog's FlexRadio setup upper panel for DAX all turned off, for both the
RX column in the dialog on the left and the TX column on the right."

By not supported I'm commenting on the text on the Demo download page.

"We do not offer support to users of this version, nor do we offer our
standard upgrades or updates with bug fixes, support of new hardware or
contest rule changes."

Am not complaining it's not supported, just stating that I was trying to
figure out if WL is suitable before purchasing.

There is a dedicated RTTY mode with Flex now which is AFSK, I've never had
to change any settings, run it as it comes and not had an issue, this is
what I use, yes.

I'm using a Flex 6600M, just a single CAT8 cable from the radio into a
network hub is all that's needed. The main selling point was the ability to
remove interfaces, cables and SO2R boxes etc, they are all gone now.

I'm happy to document the settings I have if you have any issue once you
receive your Flex.

Think I'll give WL a go for WW RTTY next month.
