Heil adapter

Ok, guys, you've been so helpful with my other questions...I bought the
AD-1-Y cable adapter for my Heil headphones..apparently Yaesu changed the
microphone jack pinout for the 1000MP.  Pin 2 on the MP shows +5V, which may
be the problem.  Pin 2 is grounded on other Yaesu models, I think.  Any other
differences?  Can I just clip the wire for pin 2 on the adapter?
