[Yaesu] FT-1000 vs. FT-1000MP

Hello!

I'm going to buy FT-1000 to replace my TS-850SAT.
But the question is:

Which one is better choice FT-1000 or FT-1000MP? What are main differences?
FT-1000 is rather old construction - is it too old?
