I did take my FT-990 AC into Yaesu Tuesday morning to resolve the NO
ALC/Low Power problems on 10M.
This morning the tech called said he was working on the rig and asked
if I wanted the optional TXCO-2 unit installed at a cost of 30 bucks
(no additional labor). I know this unit used to be over $100 plus
labor.
I told them to go ahead with it. Anyone here want to second guess
that?. Does this TXCO unit result is any significant or noticeable
improvements in performance?
