I just bought a DVS-2 to use with my FT1000D. The new DVS-2s have an
updated CPU which allows recording of a "stop" command before the memory
segment times out. The manual is dated 1998.
I called Yaesu service. There is no mod to update older DVS-2s.
There is a mod to reduce the audio drive level. Tech bulletin TB-9110
released Feb, 8, 1991 says to change R3161 on the AF unit in the FT-1000/D
from 1K to 4.7K
Question: Has anyone tried this mod? Results? Anyone tried any external in
series mods to control the gain?
