Hi All,
Am new to this list, although I have owned an FT920 (used mainly on 6m) =
for the last couple of years. I am in the process of buying one of the =
last new FT1000 radios available in the UK and would appreciate advice =
on:

1/ Filters - should I go for the Yaesu ones or InRad ones? Which would =
you consider to be the essential ones, if on a limited budget? I =
currently have a TS850sat with 1.8ssb and cascaded 500hz cw filters, =
which I find is fine=20
for general ssb and cw contesting plus some casual dxing. Do I really =
need the second rx filter?

2/ Are there any warranty approved mods that I really should get carried =
out in the workshop beofre the radio is despatched to me?

Thanks for your help.
