Subject: | [Yaesu] FT990 repair? |

My 990 went south this weekend. It looks like maybe the front end got fried from RF overload (multiop contest situation). It still hears, just attenuated by maybe 15 or 20 dB when compared to a working receiver on the same antenna. Any ideas on fixing it, or should I pack it up? Are there any east coast repair facilities that I could use or should it be sent back to Yaesu in California? Thanks, Will |
