HI!
Has anybody tried to cure the FT1000mp's broadband transmitter noise so =
that it starts behaving as on other radios (that is, going from bad to =
less bad, what I would call the 110 dBc/2,4kHz of noise at 200 kHz =
offset).
MP does not have a monotonically decreasing BB TX noise - on one side of =
the carrier it starts raising, it reaches the maximum at around +50 kHz =
from carrier where it is 10 dB worse...
It is a pity that in the ARRL RIG reviews BB TX noise is measured up to =
20 kHz only. Showing it out to 200 kHz or even 500 kHz one could ask why =
bothering on dynamic range figures too much as the transmitted S/N is in =
the order of 100-110 dBc/2,4kHz only - far away. Close-in it is even =
worse, but that is in the synthesizer domain!
