Comparing radios is somewhat akin to comparing the effects of different drugs
on different people. The same drug will cure one person and kill another.
There's so much left unsaid in the comparison of radios. For instance, is the
reviewer a cw op? Casual? died in the wool contester? Same for SSB, AM,
digital modes, etc. Have the compared radios had the same filtering for the
mode you use? An on and on. And, is there really a considerable difference
between different radios of the same model? Are all the radios thoroughly
tested in all modes before being shipped? Under actual operating conditions?
