Jamie,

I purchased both pre-made pigtails, 1 ft. and 3ft., with mating T-type
connector to your radio?s connector and PowerPoles on the other end plus new
T-type connectors (both sides) from CableXperts, a few years ago. I assume
it is still available. They may offer other lengths of pre-made cords as
well. The PowerPole power distribution boxes from West Mountain Radio and
others work well with these jumpers.

Hello:

I have a FT-8500 and the power connector is a Molex T-type connector on a
pigtail to the radio. I was tempted to cut it off and use powerpole
connectors but it does have the virtue of being lockable. Where might I find
these kind of Molex connectors ? Nope, RS doesn't have them - at least not
here.
