Hi,

I have a recent and significant line noise problem at my qth.
In the past, I was fairly successful at using the FT1000MP NoiseBlanker(s)
to take filter it out but now when there are signals on the band greater
than
about S5-6, the resulting intermod is such that it obliterates weaker
signals calling me.

The intermod sounds a lot like the line noise itself, but I only hear it
when
the station is transmitting and is reasonably close in frequency to me.

This was a huge problem this past ARRLDXCW weekend as the line noise
was very loud and I had to crank the NB to maximum to remove it.

With the intermod, if the station calling wasn't at least s6-7, I could not
copy.

I have had all the typical FT1000MP mods installed, including the W8JI key
clix
mod and AF gain mod and I also use the International Radio Roofing filter.

Is there anything that I can do with the MP to reduce the intermod/NB
problem
so that I can copy signals?

Please let me know. Tnx & 73

Bob KQ2M
