Hi all,
I have a question for you folks out there (and gee, it isn't about
parasitics! :-) ).
Is having an ALC control necessary in my 4-1000A amplifier?
I don't think it is necessary since the 4-1000A can easily be driven
quite hard. However, I am not positive about this. The original builder
of the amplifier had an alc circuit in there, but I don't believe it was
done properly. The amp is all apart right now for some other
modifications and I was wondering if I really needed to re-do the ALC
circuitry or just cut all the old stuff out of there (or leave it in
there).
It's a single 4-1000A in GG.
Can anyone help on this?

Jon
