What capacity and voltage do you need?
Most manufacturers who used to make silver mica caps have ceased production
due to the world shortage of mica (the main mine was in India and became
exhausted). Cornell Dubilier in the USA and also Unelco used to make high
voltage caps (350 & 500V) but today the multi-layer ceramic caps offer
better performance and a lower price. There are still some companies
specialising in silver mica caps, one is a division of STC in the UK but
the cost was pretty high last time I enquired.
Hope this helps.
