If the problem is tarnish on the silver plating of the parts, put them in
a dish or pan lined with aluminum foil. Pour boiling water over them and
add a tablespoon of baking soda. In a few minutes the silver
sulphidecoating will move to the aluminum foil.Rinse off and throw away
the foil. I have tried this and it works. Thanks to Consumer Reports
