[AMPS] Re: Strange Tube Problem

About twelve years ago I bought a new pair of Eimac 3-500Z's. They operated
normally for about 20-minutes; then I heard a "tick" sound and one tube was
glowing bright purple, like an argon lamp. Plate current was up there with
no drive. Eimac replaced it.
