Years ago I built such an amplifier with a paired 4cx1000.
As I can remember, didn't found any special problem connecting the
screen to the chaissis while that was the only way to modify the socket
in order to avoid any leads between the tube screen (flat) pins to
ground.
Without this socket mods there was a tendency for self oscillations.
