There is an ongoing "grate conjugate debate" going on in "QEX "magazine,
formerly "Communications Quarterly" between Walter Maxwell and camp
vs Warren Brunene and camp. There is enough knowledge and wisdom between
these two gentlemen to fill volumes. Both are experts; undisputed by any =
measure.
To get the entire picture, you need to read all the pertinent back =
issues of both
magazines, including the "Letters to the Editor" columns.
Regardless of which "camp" you are in, there is a wealth of truth and =
knowledge
coming from both sides in this debate. This is a "must read" for those =
of us who
want to learn how amps "amp" and how power gets from the tube to the =
antenna.
When guys like these are gone, who will be left to pick up the gauntlet =
and publish
books and articles with anywhere near the expertise of these gentlemen?
Perhaps someone with a web site will make all the articles and letters =
available
on-line.
