WARNING TO ALL: After speaking to John Marrone Jr., Identifying himself =
as KB2HIY (his dad=E2=80=99s call sign), he stated he would make good on =
a $4,000 trade with myself. This has now gone on for four months. Today =
(8 Sept 2001) was his last day to send me the money that he promised. =
The money never came. So, with that I just wanted to invite all hams to =
give John Marrone a phone call or write him.
He can be reached at (856) 686-1731 or his work number during the week =
(856) 546-5656. You can call and applaud him on his wonderful actions of =
ripping off a ham operator. His address is 414 Simpson Avenue, National =
Park, N.J. 08063, or his work address is BRIGHT LIGHTS, 145 Shreve =
Avenue, Barrington, N.J. 08007 if you wish to write to him. His bosses =
name is Dan Furbar (not sure of last name spelling) and his bosses email =
is danf@brightlightsusa.com. The National Park, N.J. Police Department =
has also received complaint(s), Officer Zimmerman is the contact person. =
John Jr. has also made friends as far away as Japan, taking thousands of =
dollars from them and not producing anything in return, so I=E2=80=99ve =
been told by my contact in Japan.
John Jr. has told me that he lost time at work for using Bright Lights =
mailing department to send out packages, and using their phone for long =
distance calls. I personally can verify everything, with a label here =
from Bright Lights, and his work phone bill checked. This is only proper =
as you don=E2=80=99t steal from your employer. He might have lost his =
job as he told others, however he just told me that he lost time and =
wages. Not sure as I can not believe anything this man says.=20
Mr. John Marrone Sr. should be very disappointed in his son, giving the =
Marrone Family a name to remember and a call sign of KB2HIY to listen =
for. I wonder if his father knows what the son is doing ? His =
father=E2=80=99s address is JOHN J. MARRONE, SR, 56 E BROWNING R., =
BELLMAWR NJ. 08031 should you wish to write to him about his son. This =
also doesn't give BRIGHT LIGHTS a very good representative.
This has been quite an experience for me. The money I lost could have =
purchased a new radio, or even better yet, paid hospital/doctor bills. =
John Marrone Jr. must need the money, maybe we should set up a trust =
fund for him if he ever becomes honest. I=E2=80=99m sure the money would =
just sit there for a long time.
Final line, I hope someone takes the time to read this. Your feedback to =
John Jr. and/or John Sr. would be appreciated by myself. I know I would =
do it for any other ham operator that was in my shoes. However, should =
you do nothing, at least you have been warned. Please remember the name =
